What if an engineer doesn't work out?
30-day trial period. You can cancel any engineer within the first 30 days with no questions asked. The trial is fully paid and includes full service. After that, the engineer’s engagement switches to month-to-month (no long-term contracts required). You can cancel at any time with 30 days’ written notice. This notice period allows us to treat engineers as long-term team members, which is part of how we achieve our 97% yearly retention rate. Nearly all engineers we place remain active with the same client 12 months later.
How do you handle time zones and communication?
Our engineers work in your time zone. They can have 4–8 hours of overlap with your daily work hours. All engineers speak English and participate in your daily standups, Slack channels, and meetings. No communication barriers or delays. We have an internal English communication score assigned to each engineer we recommend so it’s easy for us to adjust our recommendations based on the level of English fluency you need.
Will I need to heavily manage these engineers?
Most of our engineers are senior-level professionals who work independently and collaborate seamlessly with your existing team. They follow your processes, use your tools, and require minimal oversight—just like your best in-house developers. If you decide to hire junior developers to save money, we can pair them with technical leads or engineering managers to lower your blended cost per engineer.
How do you make sure engineers know our specific tech stack?
We match engineers based on your exact technology requirements and years of experience needed with your stack. Every engineer we recommend has experience with your tools, frameworks, and development practices. If an engineer we recommend is missing something you need, just let us know and we’ll refine our recommendations going forward. The longer we work with you, the better we get at knowing what you need.
Can I interview engineers before they start?
Absolutely. You have full control over the selection process and work only with engineers you approve. We want you and our engineers to be happy, as we aim to build long-term partnerships.
What are the contract terms and payment structure?
30-day trial period per engineer hired where you can cancel at any time, for any reason. After that, the engagement continues on a month-to-month basis. Just give us 30 days’ notice if you ever want to end the engagement. No long-term contracts, no lock-in. To secure your engineer’s availability, we charge a monthly prepayment. This allows us to provide consistent, on-time payments to our engineers, which helps us attract and retain top-tier talent who avoid firms with unpredictable or delayed payment terms. Our engineers feel like an extension of your team, which is a big reason why 97% of our engineers stay with the same client for at least a year. Because we don’t rely on outside financing to manage payments, we’re able to pass those savings on to you—giving you higher quality engineers at lower rates.
How quickly can engineers start working?
Some engineers can start as quickly as 24–72 hours, provided the first invoice is paid. Most engineers can start within 1–2 weeks. Often, how quickly an engineer can start is more dependent on your internal onboarding processes.
What's included in the monthly fee per engineer?
Everything’s included: engineer compensation, compliance handling, recruiting, legal, and HR coordination. One flat monthly fee. No hidden fees. No surprises.
How do you prevent engineers from disappearing or quitting suddenly?
We provide engineers with reliable monthly payments and consistent long-term engagements. This gives them financial security and career consistency, which has led to 97% retention (nearly all engineers we place remain active with the same client 12 months later). Our engineers work closely with your team and become a natural extension of it, which is a big reason nearly all our engineers stay with the same clients long-term.
How do you protect our IP and sensitive data?

All engineers sign confidentiality agreements / non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and intellectual property/invention assignment agreements. We enforce strict confidentiality and security policies (ISO 27001) across all engagements, including mandatory criminal background checks and cybersecurity awareness training during onboarding.

You may require engineers to install MDM software (e.g., Jamf, Intune, or Kandji) or use company-issued, preconfigured equipment to meet your internal IT and data protection policies.

You may also request that engineers sign additional subcontracting or invention assignment agreements. We can sign Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) to support your compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations.

And employment, education, and reference checks can be conducted upon request to meet your internal compliance or security requirements.

When you pay us for our services, we transfer to you full ownership of all code, data, and other work product created by the engineers.

How do you compare to marketplaces like Toptal, Turing, or Upwork?
